The Challenge of The Year

Starting on January 1st, 2004 I will begin a photo challenge for myself.

Picture A Day For A Year

What is the "Picture A Day" challenge? To take pictures everyday, no matter what, and then choose a single image each day to create a montage of 366 images (2004 is a leap year).

I can't wait to start and have been thinking of it for sometime now. What first turned me on to the project was THIS website. When I accidentally came across Paul's galleries I was intrigued by the idea as well as his images. No, Paul didn't start the PAD idea, he is just one of many who has inspired many others to do the challenge themselves (me being one of them). In the beginning it is going to be tough carrying around D2H camera all the time but I'm sure I will get used to it. I guess really the most difficult challenge is attempting to be creative everyday. Once I can save some extra money and Leica releases their Digilux 2, I might get that as my day to day camera (pending quality of images).

To help keep a fresh set of ideas for images, I've been compiling a list of things to shoot in the handmade journal my wife made me for Christmas.
